Kurt Wendler was a visionary painter leading up to the era of Art Deco. A contemporary of Martha Katzer, Marguerete Heymann, Augusta Kaiser, and Eva Zeisel, he worked for Philipp Rosenthal prior to being imprisoned for hiding a Jewish painter during WWII. His 1920s works for Rosenthal are considered the zenith of his output. Fully signed.
